Things I did today
1. Ordered lots of medication refills.
2. Signed up for Zenpep’s Live2Thrive program so now I get my copay paid and free AquADEKs vitamins (saves me about $80/month). This is a great update to their former copay program since it includes free vitamins & nutritional supplements (scandishake, etc.) each time you fill the Rx.
Everyone taking Zenpep should sign up: www.live2thrive.org

Sunday Cycling
Route: Eidelweiss park, south College Station
Distance: 3.4 mi
Average speed: 12.9 mph
Heart rate: off the charts probably
Weather: sunny, still and mid-50s
I feel really lame feeling the need to celebrate a 3 mile bike ride, but 3 miles is better than no mile and it’s my longest in awhile. The saying goes something like the journey of a thousand miles starts with one step.

3 DAYS AGO: I’ve forgotten what it’s like to cough. Zero cough/sputum.
TODAY: cough + sputum (it’s debatable as to whether some is tinted with blood). Where did this come...

(I knew it was from him!)
We started “dating” on April Fools day, but never actually went on a date for quite a long time. We’re low-key like that.

Aaaand guess who…
…doesn’t have diabetes? This girl!
Retested my fasting glucose and hemoglobin A1c yesterday and both were normal (96 and 5.4). I’m thinking my high fasting blood sugar from 2 weeks ago was exacerbation related.
I’m not totally sold that I’m “normal” based on A1c since it is an indicator of average blood sugar control over the last couple of month since I...
craving-oxygen asked: Hello! I'm borderline diabetic, and I get "abnormal" high blood sugar when I'm fighting infection (well thats what my clinic tells me why it goes high). So hopefully it is only temporary. I hope you feel better!

Blood sugar
Last week I had my annual lady-doctor appointment. In addition to the usual physical invasion, as a bonus for turning 30, I “won” some “free” blood work to test if I had high cholesterol and diabetes. (I’m convinced this is the gentle warm up for the mammograms after 40 and the colonoscopies after 50.)
Anyway, to my surprise, my fasting glucose was high. My oral...
