7 DAYS TIL 30

In the last 30 years I’m proud of/grateful for: my feelings of love and attachment for my dog-daughters.

Matt and I call them dog-daughters because they are our “children.” Today Sadie got a bath and haircut at the groomers and I missed her and worried about her an excessive amount while she was gone. There was just something missing at home while she was gone. My worries were unnecessary, but I’m grateful for having those feelings for some creature entrusted to my care. I’m sure this is the same way parents feel when their human-children aren’t home.

How I celebrated: by rejoicing and giving Sadie a good pet when she got home. She’s been having bad skin allergies the last month (a chronic cycle for her) and hopefully shorter fur will help us keep her skin feeling better (easier to brush, bathe and keep an eye on).

This post has Notes and tag: # countdown to 30 # dog-daughters .
