1 DAY TIL 30

In the last 30 years I’m proud of/grateful for: finding this man to share my life with.

I’ve said this before—Matt makes me laugh every single day and I feel like that should be the #1 thing anyone looks for in a life mate. He’s been joking that he’s taking me in for my inspection tomorrow and that he may have to trade me in if I’ve depreciated too much in value…like I’m a car.

I also often look at him and wonder how I could find a man who’s funny, science-y, bicycle-y, and also so handsome. I’ve kind of always thought he was out of my league in the looks department and he often says “men age like fine wine.” True enough, husband. True enough.

How I’m going to celebrate: he’s been trying to make me open my two birthday presents since Amazon delivered them on our doorstep over a week ago. Perhaps I’ll humor him and open one a day early tonight. Then we’ll toast the last day of being in the same decade of our lives for the next 2 years, 4 months and 20 days (because that’s how long it will be until he’s 30).
