Sunday Cycling
I think this ride was the most disappointing one I’ve had in a long time. The urge to reset my alarm for 30 minutes later should’ve been a sign to stay home and sleep in.
It started with a flat on my front wheel waiting for me when we were about to leave. Then riding on a smooth flat and downhill part the first couple of miles into the ride I was incredibly tired already and going really slow. We decided to cut the ride short at around 20 instead of 30 miles.
And then I got flat #2 on my back tire. Patched the potential culprit nick in the tire with an empty Gu packet and thought I was on my way. And then I got flat #3. I have no more tubes (not great planning) and Matt’s riding his cyclocross bike with different sized tubes so he can’t share. I think I need new tires.
Now I’m waiting about 2 miles from home as he rides home to fetch the car to get me.
What a major cycling fail today…
